This last month seems to go speedy. Time flies so fast. This Saturday, December 11, we will hike to Inwangsan, Mountain of the Benevolent King, which stands west of the main palace in the center of Seoul. At the summit (338 meters), we can see a wonderful panorama of old Seoul including some palaces and the Blue House as if you were on the Seoul Namsan Tower (N Tower). The hike is a little bit steep but the walk itself is much shorter compared to our average weekly hikes and most part of the trail consists of wooden stairs permitting a safe hike. We'll drop by an altar to the State deities, the shirine of Dangun, the founding father of the Korean nation and traditional archery site exploring Korean culture. After hiking, we''ll pass by the Blue House and stroll along Bukchon.
How to get there: Line 3, Gyeongbokgung Station
Where to meet: Inside the station, near Exit 1
When: 11:00 am, Saturday, December 11
What we will do: Walk from Gyeongbokgung Station up to Sajik Park and then hike on Inwangsan and then return by a different route. We will have a meal in the neighbourhood after the hike.

Level of difficulty: 4 out of 10
Time: About 3 and half hrs, from 11:00 to about 2:30 p.m.
(The hike itself will take about two and half hours)
RSVP: to this e-mail at sihclub@gmail.com if you plan to attend so we may know how many people to expect. Call Jeong-ho Park at 016-246-9261 on Saturday morning if you are running significantly late (more than 15 minutes).
We would like to recommend that you wear proper hiking footwear and be prepared for a range of possible weather conditions. (Hat, scarf, gloves, warm jacket and trousers are essential.)
Cancellation policy: We will not cancel hikes due to inclement weather. Coordinators of the hikes will go to the meeting place and we will try to arrange an alternative activity (E.g. a walk around the palace) if hiking is not possible. You are, of course, not obligated to attend the changed schedule.
Thank you for your interest,
