This Saturday, Feb. 13th, the Seoul International Hikers' Club will go on its first hike on a high mountain in 2011, a day trip to Uisangbong in Geochang, South Kyeongsang Province.

We will meet in front of  Foreign Exchange Bank just outside Exit 6 of Kangnam Station (subway line 2) by 7:15 AM and leave Seoul exactly at 7:20 AM. Geochang is a four-hours drive from Seoul on the Expressway ; therefore, we expect to arrive there around 11:20 AM  and start hiking before 11:30 AM, finishing around 4 PM, and then head back to Seoul. We'll be back to Seoul  about 8:30 PM. The hike is said to take about four hours, covering 12 kilometers. This mountain has a wonderful landscape along rocky and peaky trail. If you aren't a good hiker, you can stay around a beautiful temple situated at a high altitude of 800 meters. This temple was built in 667 AD during Shilla Dynasty and had a wonderful view over mountain and mountains.

If you would like to join us on this hike, it is important that you reply to this e-mail as soon as possible and reserve your seat(s). We have reserved about 10 seats of the chartered bus.
